ROUTE OF THE SEA:

Start your gastronomic journey in the fishing port of l’Ametlla de Mar, Tarragona or Cambrils, where you will find a selection of restaurants specializing in seafood cuisine. Try traditional dishes such as seafood paella, fish suquet or fideuà, a variation of paella made with noodles instead of rice. Catalonia, as Spain’s leading producer of quality wine and one of Europe’s most outstanding wine regions, has a history rooted in viticulture that dates back to antiquity.

With eleven appellations, Catalonia offers a wide variety of wine experiences. From quaint villages to family-owned wineries and specialized museums, visitors can immerse themselves in the fascinating world of Catalan viticulture while exploring the region.

OIL ROUTE:

Olive oil, a fundamental element in Mediterranean and Catalan cuisine, is a treasure of the traditional diet and an essential component in the region’s culinary culture. Catalonia is home to four protected designations of origin for olive oil.

Visiting the area during late autumn and early winter, when the olives are harvested and pressed in the mills to obtain the new oil, provides a unique experience to immerse yourself in the culture of oil and enjoy an incomparable spectacle.

The rich tradition of charcuterie making forms a fundamental part of our gastronomic culture. Whether cured or cooked, with a variety of names and forms such as fuets, somaies, bulls, bisbes, pork sausages are widely recognized and appreciated, highlighting among them, the Vic sausage.
